Gab away with Gabbly

Gabbly.com is an innovative new chat project that allows a user to gab (chat) with other visitors of any site in a real time interface. Add http://gabbly.com/ in front of the URL you and others would like to visit and the page loads along with a small resizable chat window (that loads almost immediately). The chat window can be docked to your preference.

Good future application for a more mature Gabbly could be realtime online teaching, customer service and breaking news forums.

Million Dollar Facade!

Following the astoundingly successful The Million Dollar Webpage, the entrepreneurial folks at Sandberg Institute have jumped on the band wagon and come up with their own million dollar baby - The Million Dollar Facade - offering tiles on their building facade for "Artvertising" as they call it.

Singapore in FIFA World Cup!

Well, not exactly as a competing team, but as a referee. 40 year old Shamsul Maidin of Singapore has been moderating a few of the group matches in Germany including Sweden vs. Trinidad, Ecuador vs. Costa Rica and Mexico vs. Angola. The only other Singaporean that ref-ed a World Cup match was George Suppiah in 1974, also held in then West Germany.

FIFA Football Fever 2006!

The FIFA World Cup 2006 kicks off in Germany this weekend. Expect the world to booze and bet as teams battle all for the ball. This year's slightly wacky Official emblem, titled "Celebrating Faces Of Football", was designed by London agency Whitestone and charged with "conveying, via a symbol, the incomparable emotions that can only be evoked by football."
