Playstation Spot
Sony UK has just launched Playstation Spot, an innovative idea and inspired push support to their Playstation Portable product line. Owners of their wifi psp gaming station can download exclusive content wirelessly from various "hot spots" throughout the kingdom. Sony has also launched vending kiosks in some countries where consumers can buy PSPs. Kudos to them for experimenting and extending the intent and concept of a "portable" product.
Which now brings us to my PSP story...
When I went to buy my very own PSP a few months ago, I got offered a really really good price at one of them funny shops at Lucky Plaza on Orchard Road. But wait. The really really good price did not include a battery, the dude at the funny shop said. I had to pay extra for that.
"No battery? But this is a Sony Playstation Portable, no? Portable means can carry around and play anywhere without socket, no?" I asked.
"No, Portable means small size one." The dude in funny shop said.
"Ah, yes. But of course. Again."
Them dudes and shops are smart. And funny.
